The Seeka Solo is built for the hike-in day. At 2.4 kg it is the lightest packraft in the range, and lighter than most inflatable kayaks. Roll it onto your pack, follow the track to the lake or the slow reach of river past the last car park, and paddle out. Flat and slow water is its home. One paddler, self-bailing, two-year warranty.
2.4 kg on your back
The lightest Seeka. Nylon66 420D tubes over an 840D floor, 180 cm long and 85 cm wide. It rides on your pack for the walk in, so you feel the climb to the water in your legs, not on your back.
Sized for one
25 cm tubes and a 104 × 36 cm inside keep you snug and close to the water. The floor self-bails, so anything that splashes over the tube drains straight back out and you keep paddling.

Your first packraft, explained
Never owned one before? These are the questions every first-timer asks.
Where does my gear go?
Your pack rides on top of the bow, the front of the packraft. Thread the tie-down straps from the box through the D-loop tie-down points and over the pack, then pull them snug. Your gear travels on the outside, so pack it in a dry bag or a waterproof pack liner first.
Do I need a pump?
No. The air bag in the box inflates it: fit it to the valve, scoop it full of air, roll the open end closed and squeeze the air into the tubes. A few bagfuls and you are ready in a couple of minutes. Prefer not to squeeze? A small battery-powered pump works too. Either way, stop when the tubes are firm and push back under your thumb.
I have never paddled. Is it hard?
Not on the right water. A packraft sits low and wide, so it feels steady from the first stroke. Start on a small, sheltered lake on a calm day, keep your strokes short and close to the tube, and most people have the hang of it on their first outing. Before any trip, research the water you plan to paddle: the grade of any rapids, the current flow and the local conditions. Only go where all of it suits your skill level.
What else do I need?
A paddle and a buoyancy vest (PFD) for yourself, worn every time you are on the water. A paddle is not in the box: add the four-piece fibreglass paddle above at the bundle price. A dry bag for your gear completes the kit.
Will I get wet?
Yes. Every Seeka self-bails, which means water comes in through the floor as well as over the tubes, and drains back out the same way. There is always some water in the packraft, so plan on wet feet and a wet seat every time, not just in rough water. You never have to bail. Dress to get wet: quick-dry clothes, shoes that can get soaked, and a warm layer in a dry bag on cool days.

- Best packraft in Australia: how to chooseThe best packraft in Australia is the one matched to your water, your walk and your load. For lakes, estuaries and gentle rivers with a walk in, a self-bailing touring hull covers most trips: the Seeka Solo is 2.4 kg, the Tourer 3.65 kg and the two-person Duo 5.8 kg. For cold water or serious whitewater, look at a decked hull such as the Alpacka Expedition 2026 or the MRS Microraft.
- Packraft vs kayak: which one fits your daysA packraft is the backpack kayak: an inflatable hull light enough to carry in a pack, 2.4 kg to 5.8 kg across the Seeka range. A kayak is faster and tracks better on open water, but it travels on a roof rack and launches from a ramp. Pick a packraft if your days start on a trail, and a kayak if they start at the water.
- How to choose a packraftThe packraft you need is the one that fits your day as it is, not the most ambitious version of it. Start from the water you paddle most. Then the walk between put-ins. Then who comes along. Get those three right and the rest of the spec falls into place.
- Solo, Tourer or DuoChoose the Seeka Solo (2.4 kg) if you paddle alone and walk in light to lakes and easy flat water, the Tourer (3.65 kg) if you paddle alone and want room for overnight kit and easy rivers, and the Duo (5.8 kg) if you paddle two-up or carry a lot of kit. All three share the same cloth, the same self-bailing floor and the same two-year warranty. If you will only own one and you paddle alone, the Tourer is the default.

- The Western Lakes with a packraftThe Western Lakes sit high on Tasmania's Central Plateau, reached by unsealed roads and then on foot. Thousands of tarns scatter across open moor and dolerite country inside the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area, loosely grouped under names like the Nineteen Lagoons. Up there you find water in every direction, linked by short cross-country carries, with no fixed trails threading the whole of it. A packraft belongs here in a way few other craft do.
- Lake St Clair: walk-in paddling at the Overland’s endLake St Clair sits at the southern end of the Overland Track in Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. It is Australia's deepest lake, carved by glaciation, and it holds cold water year-round. Forested shores rise to mountain ridgelines. For walkers finishing the Overland Track, Cynthia Bay is the end. For paddlers, it is the start of a different kind of time on the water, time the lake gives slowly and on its own terms.

The valley is a few hours south of Sydney, and you launch from an access point on the lake and paddle to camp.

Behind a long barrier of coastal dunes lies one of the state's largest lake systems: Myall Lake, Boolambayte Lake and The Broadwater, linked by channels and draining to the sea through the Myall River at Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest. The whole system is big, paperbark-edged and mostly flat. Paddlers and houseboaters have been coming here for decades, and the multi-day routes it offers on inland water are among the more accessible on the east coast.

What does delivery cost, and how long does it take?
Delivery to Australia and New Zealand is free on every order until 20 Nov (11:59pm AEDT), kit included. Every Seeka is made to order: allow 3–4 weeks for delivery from purchase, tracked express to your door.
What comes in the box?
The Seeka Solo with its inflatable seat, EVA backrest, air bag, carry bag, skeg, tie-down straps and repair kit. A paddle is not included; add one from the kit list above at the bundle price.
What does the warranty cover?
Two years on materials and welding, from the date of purchase. A covered defect is repaired free. It sits on top of your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Can I return it?
We do not take change-of-mind returns, used or unused. Anything faulty is covered, and your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply. Email us before sending anything back.
Can I try one first?
In Australia, yes. Hire any Seeka for a weekend or a trip, posted to your door, with a two-day minimum. Rates are on the hire page.
