Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For a major failure you are entitled to a replacement or refund, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Nothing in this policy limits or replaces those rights.

Our warranty

Two years on materials and welding, from the date you buy the packraft. It covers manufacturing defects: a weld or seam that lets go, a coating that delaminates, or a hull that leaks because of how it was made.

If your packraft has a covered defect, we repair it free of charge.

Small fixes on the trip

Most small punctures and scuffs are a quick fix with the repair kit in the box. Email team@seekatouring.com and we will talk you through it.

Damage from use

Damage from use is not covered by this warranty, but we offer a repair service. If the repair kit cannot fix it, email team@seekatouring.com with photos and we will quote the repair.

What this does not cover

This warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by alteration or modification, improper or unreasonable use or maintenance, misuse, abuse, accident, neglect, fire, poor packing for transport, or natural events. Normal wear, abrasion, UV and heat damage are not defects.

  • Scrapes, floor wear, sun fade, overheating in a car
  • Damage from use outside what the packraft is for
  • Lost kit, paddles, or a packraft you modified
  • The cost of undoing changes you made to the design
Who it covers

This warranty is for the original purchaser and does not transfer to a later owner. If you bought a Seeka second-hand, we can still arrange a paid repair.

How to make a claim
  • Email team@seekatouring.com. Photos of the issue, plus your order number and date of purchase.
  • Wait for our reply. We will tell you whether it is a warranty repair and where to send it.
  • Do not post the packraft until we reply, and do not send it wet or sandy. Clean and dry it first.
How this works with the Australian Consumer Law

This two-year cover is extra. It does not limit, exclude, or replace the consumer guarantees. If a product fails to meet a consumer guarantee, you may have rights under the Australian Consumer Law that go beyond this warranty, including a replacement or refund for a major failure, and including after the two years.
